Prompts & FAQ
F.A.Q
How can I participate?
For volunteers, there is no selection for this event. All you have to do is fill out the sign-up form and you’re in!For donors, you simply have to donate to the specified charity, send us proof of your donation, and you will receive art or a fic in return! What is the level of detail expected for art? How long does a fic need to be?
As this is not meant to be stressful and we have no desire to overwhelm our volunteers, our minimum is a sketch for artists and 1k fics for writers. Volunteers can of course do more than that if they so choose. Are there any restrictions for prompt content?
No Dead Dove content (including rape, suicide, incest, gore, pedophilia, etc) will be allowed for this event. If you accidentally submit one, we will reach out to you to choose a different prompt.I'm a minor. Can I participate?
Yes, absolutely! However, we ask that anyone under the age of 18 only request SFW prompts. Under 18 creators will also only be assigned SFW prompts. If we learn that a volunteer has lied about their age, they will be removed from the event. If a donor does so and your prompt has not already been fulfilled, we will reach out to you to give you a chance to choose a SFW prompt instead.I'm a volunteer. How much time do I have to complete a prompt?
The creation period will officially be one month long, and will begin right as donor submissions close. However, as prompts will be assigned as they come in, you’ll most likely have more than a month to complete your prompt. Creator sign-ups run from June 3-9, the Donation period from June 10-July 24, and Final Pieces to be posted by August 14.I don't have twitter or discord. Can I still volunteer/donate?
Yes! You don't need any particular social media to participate. We will simply need an email at the least to be able to contact you. However, any updates or announcements made will be on Twitter and Discord, so please keep that in mind. Can I request/complete multiple prompts?
Absolutely!
For donors, donate as much as you would like to Gaza Wound Care or any of out other listed organizations and submit proof of your donation in the donor form. Once you have attached your proof, you will be asked how many requests you would like based on how much you donated. We will verify your amount matches how many prompts you are requesting and your identity by email. We ask that each donor do the math in choosing to break down their donation into multiple requests so that the moderators can assign the prompts accordingly. If you choose to keep your donation as one prompt, that is fine too! Just keep in mind you can request more prompts the more you donate. For volunteers, while you can work on multiple prompts during the duration of this event, we are asking that you only work on one at a time. Your current prompt must be finished and posted before we will assign you another one. For those who signed up as both artists and writers, you will also be working on only one prompt at a time, either art or a fic.More information will be added as we get further into the event! Any changes to the schedule and such will be updated here as well.If you have any further questions, please feel free to email us or send us a DM on Twitter.
